Tim joined the company in 2002, attracted by his passion for oak timber framed buildings and the opportunity to lead the company in its desire to push the boundaries of oak timber framing. Tim brings outstanding management experience to the team. He is a chartered management accountant, has a degree in business studies and also gained a master’s in business administration. Tim has extensive experience of managing companies of all sizes, in many business sectors, including construction and building. Tim’s no-nonsense hands-on approach and commercial acumen, and perhaps most importantly his passion for excellence, make him the ideal complement to the craft-based skills of the rest of the team.
Andy joined Carpenter Oak & Woodland in 2005, to help the company provide a greater focus on customer service, marketing and sales. Andy’s background is varied indeed – helping him to bring a wide range of skills to the team. Much of his working life has been spent in consultancy and management roles, where (as a skilled management coach) he has helped organisations to grow and better meet the needs of their customers. An avid lover of oak carpentry, Andy has also spent time in oak furniture restoration and conservation – something he still enjoys as a hobby.

Before joining Carpenter Oak & Woodland Pete worked in a number of architectural practices both large and small. In addition he has involved himself in several construction projects to understand the hands on practicalities of the industry. Looking for a new challenge and with a particular interest in the use of timber in construction he joined us as a frame designer in 2005. Since then Pete has avidly developed his timber framing knowledge. This combined with his architectural expertise makes him ideally placed to help our customers bring their projects to fruition. A grounded and pragmatic designer Pete claims to be at his most creative when playing his mandolin and sampling the local ale!
Having successfully run his own cabinet making and furniture restoration business in Highgate, London, Piers moved to the west country in 1997. Having specialised in arts and crafts furniture he was inspired by the work of Sydney Barnsley in the timber framed library at Bedales College in Hampshire. This led him into a career as a timber framer and subsequently as a senior framer. During this period he studied for his HNC and then masters in the conservation of historic buildings at Bath University. As a designer at Carpenter Oak & Woodland Piers is responsible for working with clients, architects and engineers to help bring their projects to fruition. He is a member of CIAT and IHBC.
Paul started his working life as a carpenter for a local building company and always enjoyed seeing a concept develop into a reality. Always eager to develop Paul has completed a number of courses in construction and customer relations. After moving to a career in sales for some years, Paul started with Carpenter Oak & Woodland in early 2006 where he is first contact for all residential and commercial enquiries in our Chippenham office. Priding himself on a quick response Paul estimates and pro-actively manages these enquires through until ready for production. Working closely with his colleagues in the design and production teams Paul has developed a strong understanding of timber, it’s capabilities and how it can be best used in your project to perfectly meet all aesthetic and budgetary criteria.

After completing a business administration degree in Bath, Lucy decided to stay in the area she had grown fond of and started work as an advisor in financial services. Having always had a strong interest in house build projects and one day hoping to complete her own “grand design” her change in career direction led her to join Carpenter Oak and Woodland in June 2010. Working as a client relationship manager Lucy handles new enquiries and helps clients right from the exciting first few stages of creating the look and feel of the building that will later become the design of their home. Whilst being fairly new to the world of oak framing her passion for the design of one off bespoke homes stands her in good stead for helping our clients develop their ideas and explore all the possibilities available to them.
