We’re experienced at working with a range of oak timber frame design styles, both ancient and modern – able to match the needs of almost any business. We have produced oak timber-framed buildings in medieval designs (such as the traditional oak cruck frame) through to Victorian (such as the use of king posts) and right up to something entirely modern – mixing green oak timber with contemporary materials, such as stainless steel plates, cables and glass.

Matching the local building vernacular

Every county in the UK has its own building ‘vernacular’ – a language or style which makes its buildings unique. Where required, we can design and build to this style or perhaps create something more modern which is inspired by the local building vernacular, rather than simply emulating it.
