Keevil Manor Barn

When the owners of a dilapidated barn in Wiltshire decided that they wanted to convert it for residential use they turned to our conservation division for help.

Two of the bays of this five bay barn were on the verge of collapse and structural scaffolding was needed urgently to ensure its stability and safety for those working on site.

Carpenter Oak & Woodland conducted a full conservation survey itemising each repair.  As well as providing a necessary benchmark for the work that needed to be done it also gave the local conservation officer considerable confidence that the grade II listed building was going to be repaired sympathetically by experts.

The floor level within the building was dropped by the main contractor to allow sufficient head room for the ground floor accommodation.
