Timber Cladding in Scotland

The research in this book was commissioned by The Scottish Executive, Central Research Unit and documents the historical and current use of timber cladding both by style and timber species in Scotland.

How our work is featured

Carpenter Oak & Woodland designed, manufactured and erected the Douglas fir timber frame for the Renewable Energy office for Natural Power.  Our work forms part of the case study on the offices which describes how locally grown Douglas fir was converted using a portable mill, seasoned on site during 2000 and then transported to our Scottish timber framing yard for fabrication of the frame. The frame also makes use of steel connectors and wire for tension members.
