It particularly looks at the benefits of using traditional and contemporary methods in green oak timber homes and structures creating distinctive individuality whilst highlighting the recent ecological trends noticed in the industry.

How our work is featured

Carpenter Oak and Woodland’s managing director Tim Burrell talks about his passion for wood, oak-framing designs and oak homes in an article titled Leading Light – “Wood Working”. He explains how for over twenty years the company have created more handmade bespoke green oak timber frames than any other British company and that the philosophy of Carpenter Oak and Woodland is to deliver the finest oak frames through brilliant design and craftsmanship whilst working with nature and not fighting it. Tim also explains that due to a wealth of experience within the company both traditional and contemporary designs are offered to clients as well as timber engineering for the more challenging hi-tech structures, therefore enabling them to be involved with the creation, maintenance and conservation of some of the UK’s most beautiful and individual green oak timber framed buildings.
