The UK has a long tradition of building using timber – especially oak – and of making timber work in a wide variety of ways.
We’re experienced at working with a range of design styles, both ancient and modern – from medieval designs (such as the traditional oak cruck frame) through to Victorian (such as the use of king posts) and right up to something entirely modern – mixing oak timber with contemporary materials, such as stainless steel plates, cables and glass.
Oak timber-framed buildings can be some of the most stunning examples of contemporary architecture
Because everything which Carpenter Oak & Woodland builds is totally bespoke, we are able to build in a wide range of oak frame styles – we don’t have a fixed set of oak frame designs or prescriptive design beliefs. Our aim is the same as yours – to get the most visual impact and functionality from the use of timber.
However clear your ideas, whatever building style you choose, for whatever purpose, we can help – so why not contact us to start turning those ideas into a bespoke part of your home?
