The south elevation has great views over the lower end of the village
By designing on a curved floor plan the architect was able to embrace the view over the field below
Having previously lived in a large Victorian house the client wanted to bring lots of natural light into the rooms
Oak frame naturally creates characterful spaces in new houses that could otherwise be bland
These sling braced oak frames draw the eye upwards and create a greater sense of height
The back of the house has been used for the more functional rooms such as cloakroom and utility room as these get less light
The open plan layout at this level creates a very social space with the kitchen and breakfast room, lounge and study all within sight of each other
