Here you can see how a king post truss has been used in combination with a half truss (behind it) to take the hipped roof on the building. The trapeze lighting system is unobtrusive and doesn’t distract the eye from the timber structure. This is also a good example of what happens when the smaller common rafters are not exposed and the primary structure is therefore emphasised.
